what is the biggest arachnid ever?  You're probably thinking a tarantula, but its pterygotus a 9  foot monster  with 4 inch thick  armor covering  its entire body  with camouflage and crushing claws it was the ultimate predator.  This is not something I'd like to find while swimming!
